Cases include all necessary parts for wall hanging except the standard type cases. Cherry, oak or mahogany woods used.

The flag is a very important item.  Before manufacture it is necessary to know the size of the flag so the flag will fit and show properly.  A 3 foot by 5 foot flag or smaller will show stripes.  A larger flag shows no stripes.

I welcome your designs and they will be artistically worked on and e-mailed to you for your pre-approval.  You will see what the finished product will look like for your comments, suggestions and approval prior to manufacture.  Once a decision is made, it takes about five days for manufacture.  For shipping, an additional week.

Prices shown are for wood cases only.
Awards and Flag at additional cost.
All orders must be prepaid.  Packing and shipping additional.

"I have been making retirement cases for over 13 years and understand the meaning they have for the persons who have earned them. When I was first approached to make a "dog house," I did some research to find out what was on the market and came up with my own designs that would show the flag and the awards at their best."

"The wood is selected by its color and grain and when a wheel or octagon is made, the parts are cut from the same board and numbered so the grain flows from one member to the adjoining member. I first want to know what awards will be shown in the case. Then I prearrange the awards to determine the size of the case. No award is ever omitted because it does not fit. Where possible, the case is made to fit the awards."

I have worked with many size flags. There is no standard flag size. The case is made to fit your flag size. All flags are folded and attached to a pattern to prevent sagging in later years. You select the wood. All joints are professionally made. After staining, the cases are given four coats of lacquer primer and sanded between coats and then given a final coat of semi gloss lacquer. If the glass ever breaks, it is very easy to replace."
