Served aboard the USS Bennington, CVS-20 with VS-38 from 1960-1962. Stationed at NAS South Weymouth, MA. NAS Memphis, TN. Nas New Orleans, LA. COMOCEANSYSLANT, CINLANTFLT, Norfolk, VA. NRD Boston, MA. Retired aboard the USS Constitution 20 September 1980. Made the "HAT" as an AMS and was converted to NC via the first selection board for the NC rating. Making Chief remains one of my life long greatest achievements, I still miss the Navy after all these years in retirement.
